| KISS PO2 display problems help! Figured I would ask for help here vs. re-inventing the wheel. I just got my PO2 displays back from KISS for the upgraded plastic. I also had them replace the molex connectors. Here is my problem: I plugged the molex connectors into the three cells and closed up the kidney plate. First issue one cell was reading -0.01, okay that’s weird so with all three displays on I removed the kidney plate now problem two showed up, that is when I removed the pressure of the kidney plate another different display went to 0.00. I put the plate back on and it went back to 0.21, pulled off again and 0.00 put it on 0.21??? Back to problem one, I pulled the molex off and tested it on a new R22D, it worked but only if the molex was not pushed all the way on. So now I put it back on the older cell but not all the way and it works??? Now on to problem three the same cell that would only work under the pressure of the kidney plate (problem two from above) when I opened the calibration port to calibrate it goes to 0.03 from 0.22 and won’t calibrate, I close the calibration port and it goes back to 0.22? So it seems like I have a few issues. Does anyone have any insite into whether this is a wiring issue or are the cells bad? I tested the cells under air and got 12.2 mvolts but they are a year old, but they do pass a linearity test. Help! |

| Re: KISS PO2 display problems help! Ok, I have the new upgrades as well ---similar problems only two for me Johnny got No1 right-- remove & swap the + & - pins over in molex housing the rest is wiring connections--poor contact somewhere--- I reckon. broken wire or poorly crimped pins maybe I had one of the new ones work well on surface, but at 5m would go on the blink every time. Found the problem by squeezing the monitor, putting pressure on it would mimic the same as in water. Mine was inside the display-- removed & reassembled circuit boards seems to have fixed it. -- er,thats to say I have not been back under with it yet, but I did try Squeezing the living daylights out of it & she a works beaut, mate. Good luck with yours You could always send them straight back they are good company to deal with. Amen, Brother John |

Amen, Brother John it is just very irritating as i just got it back and now i'm down for a few more weeks.. seems quite irronic that i will have to use my eccr, vs my mccr, as i am eating crow yet again!! |

Help! 1) pins not inserted fully (most likely) 2) pins inserted backwards (you should be able to pull them out pretty easily) 3) tension on contacts are too loose.. The pins can be easily removed with a pin extraction tool.. if you don't have one.. it takes a bit of practice removing the pins using something pointy

I had this problem when I change a bad circuit card. I had to squeeze the small pins to the wire really hard. If i do this again i probably solder them to the wire. broken wire or poorly crimped pins maybe Be sure that the pins is really attach to the wire and that the pins is at the bottom of the molex. On one molex one of the pins still force it self up through the molex every time I try to attach it to the sensor. On one side of the plastic molex , you should be able to see the pins inside, push down on the shiny tab & flick it backwards with a tiny screw driver or such. the pin will come out , do the same on the other side & swap over . just push them in until it clicks & give a gentle tug backwards to see if it is secure. When the sensors are disconnected from the displays they should read .000 |

Molex will tell you only crimp the pins..Be sure that the pins is really attach to the wire and that the pins is at the bottom of the molex. (it really has to be pressed from the back side to sit properly), or the little "tit" on the pin itself is missing.. replace the pin..
