![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | CK Clear Canister Can It Be Done Easily Hello, Sooooo.. my buddy and I were talking about how to check floods and scrubber duration and came up with a brilliant new and original idea that I'm sure many others have had as well -- although I couldn't find any threads in the search on it. Is there a source for a clear plastic tube the size of the KISS Classic scrubber that I could use instead of the standard one? It would allow monitoring of floods, color change of sorb, and might look interesting. Anyone have thoughts on why this would be a bad idea or wouldn't work? Any thoughts on what to be careful about? It seems prettys straight forward if you can find the right size, but there in lay the foundations for a disaster. ![]() Sincerely, -Paul

I just bake it in the oven until it goes from purple to white an then it's ready to go for the next dive. If I can't do that I generally just dump it, break up the clumps, mix it up, and re-install. I figure with the clear cylinder I can just bake it in the sun until it's white again and ready to go. ![]() ![]() -p P.S. Just to be clear.. do NOT do any of these things in real life unless you desire to be formerly alive.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: CK Clear Canister Can It Be Done Easily Paging philippe........ he had some knocked up ages ago I'm here. Yup, I made a few ages ago. I still dive mine, still in great shape.![]() Start from cast acrylic from Mc Master. Lost the part # since, but if you have acces to the Kiss list it should be in the archive. From memory, it's 1/4" wall thick. You'll have to machine both ends to make sure ID is perfectly round. Cast acrylic OD measurements are accurate but not ID, this is because of the manufacturing process. Hope this helps. Best Philippe |
