![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | New CK #345 and New CK Diver Hello, Last week my new CK #345 arrived at the dive shop and this weekend I completed my KISS course with Doug. What a great time in training. The Florida springs and grotto diving was extremely interesting and including a great introduction to duckweed! As I'm primarily an ocean diver the fresh water holes were great place to learn. The KISS is, simply put, a dream to dive. It is everything I've been looking for since starting to dive rebreathers. I am completely sold on the KISS, and had a chance to dive both the SK and CK this past weekend. It is interesting to compare them in the water. Too bad I didn't listen to Doug and my dive buddy last year... I could have saved a lot of money and effort. Next time I'll listen... ok, I'll probably ignore them again and do it the hard way. My dive buddy, also certified with me, will be ordering a CK shortly. Now I'm looking forward to joining some of you folks on the great trips and dives. Sincerely, Paul

Loved the twin engine aircraft there. We'd like to do some NC coastal diving. Gotta figure out what is there to see. What do you recommend? -p

![]() | Re: New CK #345 and New CK Diver Hello, There are quite a few good spots, charters leave from Nags Head, Hatteras, Beaufort/Morehead and Wilmington. Lots of Pelagics in the summer time and warm water (in the 80s), good vis and wrecks.Actually we did Lake Rawlings a month or so ago. It was starting to warm up in the 50s... Loved the twin engine aircraft there. We'd like to do some NC coastal diving. Gotta figure out what is there to see. What do you recommend? -p The thing is getting a spot on a charter and not being blown out. You will find some links on this board : http://www.ncdivers.com The great thing would be to get a 6 pack from Morehead with just rebreathers and dive the U352 (german sub from WWII) and the Papoose ... The Papoose usually gets a bunch of sandtigers, can't imagine how cool it would be to get close with a rebreather ! So there are really lots of options ... Personally a trip in the Fall (if hurricane season is not too bad) would allow to find spots on charters and cheaper options for lodging

![]() ![]() | Re: New CK #345 and New CK Diver Paul, Teds going to be in Hatteras next week and I am sure he has some open spots on the O.C.Diver. He is big time KISS Rebreather friendly. Diving there is some of the best on the East Coast.
