Classic Kiss PO2 display

Question? How often do you calibrate the Three (3) displays on the standard Kiss unit?

Thanks

Re: Classic Kiss PO2 display

My best guess is once a month. I re-calibrate when either displays are off by some 0.04 or so.... I don't think more precision will do any good in NDL dives knowning other figures aren't known with much more precision.

keep a little log --- then boot the system up using DIL not o2 first. If it's reading the same then no need to recal -- if it's off -- recal ....

when I was using the standard display i would cal about every 2 weeks.

Cheers

Re: Classic Kiss PO2 display

When I had the original Jetsam three-module PPO2 displays I calibrated them as little as possible, as every time you opened the port it was another excuse for the damn things to flood!

Re: Classic Kiss PO2 display

Whenever you change the scrubber its easy to turn on the displays and see how close they read to .21 if off too much for your liking then recal.

I'd say about every 2 weeks as well I'd give it a little tweak...Doesn't take to much effort anyway

Cheers, Marc

Re: Classic Kiss PO2 display

I agree with everyone else pretty much. I do a check in air to see if they are wandering. If they are then it is time to check to o2 and re calibrate. Every since I got the shearwater I have been less shy to calibrate as it is so easy.
