![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | More KISS upgrades Hi Guys, I just wanted to let you all know about a few more changes. New Sport and Classic KISS units are now shipping with the new Miflex O2 hose system. These are the first hoses that I have found that are tested and certified for use with oxygen (besides the swagelok hoses). I recently had some people ask me why we used the heavy swagelok hoses for the O2, and this is why. There are plenty of hoses out there that say they are fine for use with O2, but when it comes right down to it, will not put anything in writing for us. For those interested in upgrading to this new system, please see the attached pdf for options and cost. (at least i think i've attache it...???) Please note: I will be away from the office from tomorrow until Tuesday, back at my desk on Wednesday. Any emails will be answered when I get back. Sorry to send an info email and run out of town, but I wanted to let you all know before I show the updated unit at the NSSCDS event this weekend. We have also changed the ballast system. After many, many, MANY comments about the old lead (i kinda liked it!!), we are now shipping new units with SS rings for the hose ballast. Each hose will have 3 rings, with 6 in total. This is very close to the same weight as the old lead ballast. Note, these rings are heavier than some of the other rings out on the market, which is why you only need 3 per side. These are also available for upgrade. Please see the updated parts price sheets on the website, at: http://www.kissrebreathers.com/kissclassic/classicprices.asp and http://www.kissrebreathers.com/KISSsport/sportprice/sportprices.asp. You will need to click on the price sheet button at the top. On the Classic KISS units, the towers now seal with an O-ring. For those that remember the original hose attachment from years back, it is the same size O-ring. All new Classics will ship with these towers. Again, up grades are available. New manuals are up on the website, as well. Both the Classic and Sport manuals have been upgraded. Ok, that's it for now...and we are still working on a few new things. As soon as they are ready to go, I will let you all know. All the best, Kim Smith 2817 Murray Street Port Moody, BC V3H 1X3 Canada Phone: 1 604 469 9176 Fax: 1 604 469 9974 www.jetsam.ca |
