Just as redundant as the original KISS displays (I still think the original idea was best) but a lot better build quality and IMHO more reliable in absence of micro controllers and DIY programmers. As with the original displays there are three 0=rings per display BUT there are a few differences. The front is a thick sheet and the o-ring is in a simple groove. No swearing needed to insert one. The calibration port is number two. The calibation port isn't as advanced as the original display one it's just a hole. (simple is GOOD) The hole is threaded and you can screw a big knob (no tools needed) in it. (you need a small screwdriver for the pot though) Number three is in the cable gland as per normal... Switching on is by removing a magnet from the exterior. You can't get much more reliable than that. Once more simple is ... ![]() There's are two minor drawbacks. 1) Digits are small (much like the KISS ones) 2) No backlight. Although that means the battery lasts it is a drawback for sure.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Display options My vote Hammer Head You can double it up with your KISS dispalys. You get deco, stack timer, and the best of all the DIVA. I have it on both of my units both meatl and delrin handsets and no problems. Kevin |

This model also includes depth, time and log book functions and can be upgraded to any of the other Pursuit models, what a deal!!!!. |

![]() | Re: Display options I recently switched over to a Shearwater from the triple pendent display. I originally wanted the more simplistic Subsea setup, but found it to be near impossible to aquire one! I only have about 3 hrs on the Shearwater, but so far I love it. It is large, however it is a treat to deal with compared to the pendent. |

I am running 2 Pursuits and a HUD, but a single Pursuit would be just fine. Why do you think a single pursuit is fine? Is it redundant in itself? Will you pickup on any error it makes?Don't forget and most people do not realize that you can purchase the Shearwater Pursuit set up just as a PPO2 display for $900 USD. Can you really? I've tried so for a few months but I was told they were not delivered because there were still issues to be solved. Is it really available now?For simplicity and reliability, you can't beat the Subsea DS1 display. Based on what? Does it have any single point of failures?

| Classic Kiss 124 Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Display options Based on what? Does it have any single point of failures? If you look at the display on its own, then every system has a single point of failure. A single KISS display can fail with a flood, just as a shearwater or a subsea display. How the system as a whole is implemented is really what will decide what level of failure tolerance that the system will provide. In the end that is up to the user. The OP said that he was happy with 3 cell readings on his arm so pretty much any display would work, and with that, usability and personal preference is what these comments are based on.
