Ah, the twitchy ADV strikes again! I can think of three. Firstly, if the ADV diaphragm is distorted, and it can resist firing. Then, the old seat assemblies (which I still use as it's just fine) have the possibilty of the O-ring to become unglued resulting in both free-flowing or no-flowing. Or lastly, your IP on the dil reg is too high and the ADV is an upstream valve. So, as the depth increases, the line pressure builds (on Apeks regs) and it gets harder to fire the adv.I'd check the line pressure, then the seat, then open up the diaphragm and have a squizz... Hope that helps! cheers Andy

I took it apart later and the valve seat had become dislodged. Not bad for three years of diving though.

| Classic Kiss 124 Current Rebreather/s: | Re: KISS ADV issue I have had this same problm when I first got the unit. It ws a bad o-ring on the ADV . When replacing it, be sure that you use a brush to put the crazy glue on the stem THEN carefully place the o-ring. Any contamination on the o-ring will cause a free flow. Drill a small hole in a piece of material that crzay glue will not bond to; something like nylon. Slide the ADV stem through the hole and seat the o-ring on the stem. It will give you a consistet surface to put preasure on the o-ring. I chewed through 3 o-rings before Gordon clued me into this tip. Cam
