![]() | New to the dark side Hi all, Been diving long enough that I remember Sea Hunt, how often did the hero save rebreather divers from a watery grave with his triple steels! Yet here I am with a YBOD, 10 dives and not a scratch, but I have fallen in love. No longer will I blow bubbles, Pandoras box I have opened, more questions than answers at this stage.Am I alone in my frustration in that on OC Iwas qualified to go were I chose and now I am a beginner again? My favorite 70 and 80m dives are now off limits and am I peeved! Still, the fish are now more friendly, and the whole experience quieter and more relaxing. Sorry in hindsight that I didn't go this way long ago, but while He was cheap who cared. I have no doubt that breathers are the way of the future and that OC will find a place in museums alongside the Stanley Steamer. At the moment I get strange looks on most charter boats, and the divemasters that look ten years old have no idea whats going on. Thats not all bad as I can pull the wool over their eyes bigtime. Looking forward to many more constant PO2 dives. Yours in the silent abyss, Mark Seewitz |

Welcome to a great site for all the best & worse in diving any rebreathers. Just have to say I'm glad I'm not ten years old but it won't be long-- I'm counting backwards.
