Meg Diver-soon

Hi all.
Just a few lines to introduce myself.My YBOD won't be with me until November-but never mind as I'm now going to have a Meg.Heading out with Chris Hutchison in October to do the training.
I've been diving OC for 10 years and I'm IANTD Normoxic and BSAC FCD.
Most of my diving's been off the south coast mainly centered on Weymouth and Lyme Regis but have dived West Wales,the Farnes,St.Abbs and the East Coast.
I'm really looking forward to the Meg-so if anyone has any tips on it I'd be grateful.

Are you reselling the YBOD, is it Vision?

Hello, Clive,

I have heard of over-achievers in the world of re-breathers! Our resident "Decoweenie" is one. Even with selling off some of his, and having one flame-out on him (not his unit) while on a boat,...a story that ended with all of them in the drink and loss of all equipment..., I think he's got more of them than most of us have suits on the rack! But you are getting a good start!!

Rob,

Stop trying to spread nasty rumor about me.

It was NOT my unit that "spontaneously ignited". All of mine are kept in pristine conditions and would never behaved badly like that, thankyouverymuch...

I only happen to be on the boat, lost a few grands from the fire and no apology...

Sorry, Phi, I didn't mean to imply that it was your unit that caused it, just that you lost a unit and a lot more there. I added some corrective language to make its meaning plain.

Not even an apology? Wow, too sad, man! You need to go talk to those folks!

I didn't lose an unit. It was already on my back when the fire started so I bailed with it on. Still, I lost a few grands on the OC-bail-out gear and personal items.

I feel bad for the guy since he lost a lot more (i.e. probably around 20 grands) so never said anything.

BTW, what is the deal with your LARGE font size again ?

P.P.S.---All kidding aside, that was a heck of a mess! I'm glad you all got out alive, which was the important part! Sorry your friend lost so much. That part was a tragedy.
