hey guys another newbie here!!

tried an inspo on a try dive and want one really really badly, or a boris, not to fussy! once the tekkie courses are done and dusted i wanna be bubble free. still suppose i'll have to make do with twin tins of bubbles for the meantime!!

p.s. anybody got any ideas on how to get about 8k? could use it for something...

Hi,

Welcome to Rebreather World, you could start off with a second hand unit and many are listed here on RBW that would require a lot less than 8K to get you going.

You may consider investing the Tekkie course fees into a ccr unit and MOD 1 course I believe Advanced Nitrox is the required cert level you could then progress your diving on CCR. You do not have to be a Tekkie to dive a re breather but if you do intend diving mix (helium based gas) it is likely you will end up with a CCR so try to spend any available funds with that in mind.
