![]() | Looking into CCRs I´m just a lowly OC, trimix/wreck-diver looking into rebreathers... I´m trying to get informed about CCR´s so that I can make a decision about whether it´s for me or not and a member on another board recommended this board as the place to go to for answers. I´m hoping he was right... Time will tell I´m sure...there´s certainly a lot of information to digest here...if anyone who reads this has any helpful pointers on where to start, feel free to reply or pm me... |

Welcome to the list. It's a comprehensive site. The members and authors have state-of-the-art knowledge and experience with things bubbleless, or near bubbleless. ![]() As per research, I would start with a quick look at the forums and review tear-downs of individual units. Under the gallery section I've posted a short video which is a quick look at rebreathers in general. Ken |

Grazie, Welcome to Rebreather World. It is, with out a doubt, the world's best community for re-breather pilots, and a tremendous resource in terms of information available! We have people here who have been manufacturing these devices and diving them since dirt was new! I belileve that you will find that I was right when I recommended this Board to you. We have lots of folks who have come here to find out the real story about re-breather diving, without all the "mythology" and spurious information that sometimes gets handed out in other places. From your opening remarks, I would say that you have a lot of experience. There is nothing lowly about being a trimix-capable wreck-diver. One thing that you will find with an Rebreather is this. If you have been burning a lot of helium (and paying big bucks for it), your gas bill will go down. After a while, an RB will hit a "break-even" point, and then start saving you money on your total gas cost per dive. Welcome aboard. Start digging around, as has been suggested. Feel free to ask questions. Our members already have a reputation for being very helpful! Cheers! Rob Davie
