G'day from Perth

Hi All

My name is Joseph and I'm still very much a newby to CCR world, I'm a long time OC (dare I say it ) techinical diver, mainly deep caves in South Africa and so deepish wrecks in Cape Town.

My main reason for joining is to learn from those who have dived these machines for some time. I have some good friends who dive Inspo's and Halcyon (old big box) and I've tried them in the pool. Been on a cave diving trip when two of our team had an Inspo and an MK15-5 with Hammerheads.
Also some of the guys I dive with here in Perth have Meg's and even a new Dive Rite Optima. But they all look expensive to me. Bearing in mind I've spent >10 yrs buying OC kit.

Now I see Poseidon is going to build a new CIS-Lunar, but no details yet. I always recon'd the CIS was an incredible machine.

So, any thoughts , advice, and value for money tips would be appreciated.

Safe Diving

Joseph

Re: G'day from Perth

Hi Mate,

Did we meet on Christmas day on image dive? Are you staying in Perth fora while?

As far as bang for your buck goes a Classic KISS or a COPIS Meg are bloody hard to beat. 2 Classic KISS and a Copis Meg are on there way to Perth so you will be able to have a look at them in the flesh very soon. I'm happy to walk you through the various rebreathers out there and their good and not so good parts if you buy the first beer . In the mean time there is a shed load of information here on Rebreather World to sink your teeth into.

All the best

Steve

Re: G'day from Perth

There are a few people here in WA now that recycle their gas, it would be good to get to gether for drinks and lies.

Might be a good opportunity to have a get together, after the main highlights but before we get back to work proper.

How about it ? Anybody interested in a rebreather night, come one come all?

Luke was supposed to be organising one every month, however the last one got missed due to a conflict in committments, so I think another one is long overdue. The Saint was good last time, and it is close to home
