| New Member Current Rebreather/s: | Hi from California *peeks in and looks around shyly* So, I'm not exactly a diver...yet...I've *wanted* to be a diver since I was a little kid, but I probably won't have the time and money until I finish college. But I'm a tech-geek, so I'd kinda like to get to know the equipment as much as possible even before I start training and using... |

Great cold water, big waves and abalone! We need the students! Best Regards, Tim I think my family would strongly disapprove of me leaving Caltech to chase good diving...but thanks anyhow! They *do* have a basic SCUBA course here as one of our options for PE; I'll probably take that and go from there. I'll want to switch to a rebreather as soon as possible though. I know they're more expensive and require careful maintenance, but the principle of the thing is just plain elegant. -Jackie |

I'm a biology major, although I suppose I could try to convince some of my friends to help...hmm, a computer science major, an electrical engineering major and a physics major should about do the job. -Jackie |
