![]() | So far have just dived 2x12L but want to make this sport safer (concerning bends). So I've been digging for info on rebreathers quite some time now and planning to get a KISS. Mainly because of it's simplicity. Unfortunately rebreathers are an exotic piece of equipment here in Estonia ![]() Jaak Last edited by jaak : 22nd November 2006 at 10:19. |

I agree, simple is good when you are in the hinterlands, also the price on a kiss would allow you to stock up on parts and avoid down time. How is the diving in Estonia? I was there for the revolution holiday as a student in '90, and fell in love with Tallinn. I imagine there must be some wild diving in the lakes there - must be a fair number of planes and tanks from all the heavy fighting. regards rob infante Last edited by robinfante : 22nd November 2006 at 15:23. |

![]() | Re: Hi from Estonia! Hi Rob, I'm impressed that someone not just knows where we are but actually has been here. Sadly enough 95% of the lakes are quite muddy and if there are any tanks then they're in to the barrels. But the Baltic Sea offers some 40K wrecks. All you need is a sonar and equipment to go deep (~70 m). Many have been found by enthusiasts acting solo BUT they are not willing to handle you the coordinates that easily. Jaak Welcome Jaak. I'd imagine you've seen this, but if not check the cool pictures and stories - pulling a t-34 tank and an ilyushin from a lake. Granted, not a dive but a recovery, but still cool. I'd be willing to spend a few zero viz dives retrieving a tank! Looks like a hell of a club. The first page is for the tank, follow the links to other articles. Подъем танка (pulling tank) T-34. |
