Smile Hi All

G'Day folks, long time reader, first time writer........
I am having a serious go at convincing the handbrake that a nice shiny new Inspo with those new fandangled vision electronics would make a super christmas gift for someone special, with some success!!!! Being newly Adv Trimix certified I can see the benefits of a CCR, and after my Adv Trimix instructor (Simon Liddiard from Blue Marlin, Indonesia) taught our course on one (and me asking all the stupid questions you guys probably hear on every charter) I am keen to enter the 'dark side'.
Question is, how long will it take to get to a simular level with my diving now on OC with the Rebreather? I am well and truly under no illusions that I will hop straight from my regs to RB master, which is probably why I am doing this before I REALLY need to, as I figure by the time a RB becomes a necessity, I will have enough training and hours on the thing to achieve what I want to safely. I am well and truly prepared to go back to the charter boat and do the simple dives, shore dives, dive the dredge (again!), and basically get time on the unit. I am looking for some deeper stuff (80m+), and cave diving on it in the future, but just want to know how long it took you guys to get totally comfortable. Weeks? Months? Years ? minutes?
Dive experience at the time you took up the Rebreather diving would be great too! (Me? PADI DM, TDI Adv Trimix, Cave Divers Association of Australia Penetration)
Thanks folks, enjoying the reading so far, and look forward to hearing from you.
JD

Re: Hi All

Wrong place to post such a question, or have I done something wrong?
