in line manual addition valve

Hi all,

I hail from Maryland, USA.
am looking for some assistance in locating some in line lp hose manual addition valves. It's ok if they're similar to say the kiss or azimuth but not necassary. Would someone point me in the direction of suppliers / mfg please?

I'd look at the Tecme site ( Tauchen - Cave, Nitrox, Rebreather Ausbildung, Tec Ausrüstung, Reisen ) and check out the Hydrogom valve. It's pretty much functionally interchangable with the KISS valve, except it's stainless steel.

John's looks great. I have also seen people that have used a power inflator with an adaptor replacing the corrigated hose that will allow you to connect a traditional LP hose. Does anyone have any pictures or experiance with that type of approach?

Re: in line manual addition valve

i've know a few people that have used this approch on there home builds and even the first ccr submatics used a modifyed bcd inflator fitted with a orifice
but the problem comes when some one is trying to help you out if your having a problem and press your o2 add inmistake for the wing inflator.
kind regards john

Re: in line manual addition valve

I am using John (Narked@90) manual button at the moment. It is nice in the sense that you do not need to own any additional surplus dive gear to make it work.

It takes a few minutes to cut the hose to proper length, add the end adapter and screw straight into the parts. Everything is supplied. If you want John to supply with the hose already installed for plug-and-play, it is also possible. And would only take less than 1 minute to install.

If you are looking for alternative down the road as I am right now, I will eventually swap the manual button with one of my surplus KISS valve and connect it to a 2nd O2 tank (i.e. 1L). Benefits and drawbacks are self-explanatory...

Re: in line manual addition valve

Mark
Have to agree with John .
The beauty of John's is that you don't need to modify anything on an Inspiration to fit the conversion & it still keeps the green O2 & blue DIL buttons to avoid confusion ,which was an important consideration when it was thought of
