Hello Belgium

Hello from Joe in Belgium, I was wondering if anyone in Belgium could give me some tips on where to get inspiration bits and pieces, anyone stocking this in Belgium, also how to go about getting O2. As I am told you need a prescription to buy medical oxygen?

Thanks

Re: Hello Belgium

Hi Joe,

I'll PM you details on how to get oxygen en helium (breathing quality). You can get all APD parts via Steven Galicia. He is an Inspiration Instructor and he is also on rebreatherworld.

Try Lex Schotema from Aquadiving in Veenendaal (The Netherlands). Good prices for O2, the best prices for Helium. They deliver in Belgium as well via a Belgian supplier.

Re: Hello Belgium

hello Joe,
where exactly do you live in Belgium.
I live near Deerlijk and I go either to Aquatec (Bruges) or Bubble & Dive (Gent) to get my cilinders filled.
In the event i'm just planning a little dive, I also have a cilinder industrial O2 to fill from. This way I can save on the journey.
Problem is the choice of stacking O2 cilinders (even a booster pump) and often visit the nearest diveshop wich can supplie O2
grtz g

Re: Hello Belgium

Thanks Shaun (Irish sounding name?) I am just south of Brussels, Waterloo. Took my AP valves cylinder to a shop in Brussels that does Nitrox but they told me it was not stamped with "oxygen" on the bottle so they would not fill it (but they fill my nitrox cylinders that don't have this).

Anyway I think I will get a bottle of O2 and H, problem is I understand you need a prescription to be able to buy medical O2 (something to do with pharmacy monopoly ). Just would like to know how to go about ordering the bottles and who through, welding shop, direct from air liquide etc.

I have whips etc, and will get hold of a booster pump.

Thanks for any help

Joe

Easiest and cheapest way:

*******
I don't have his email address or web site handy. Google for it. He uses a local distributor. No paperwork required and gasses have a rating of breathable.

Re: Hello Belgium

Joseph, I can always set you up with high pressure oxygen and trimix, you will need to drive to Mechelen (Malines) though.
