| Inspiration Vision Diver ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Getting evolution/inspiration Welcome to the board. I'm sure you find this very great place. I think the Inspiration is better choise to our waters due to longer scrubber time. If I remember correctly we have one Evolution here in Finland, rest are Inspirations (two new this week), one Boris and few home builds. ![]() ![]() | Re: Getting evolution/inspiration Think about the cold water you are diving. I shure would get a inspiration/ vision for the longer scrubber duration. ![]()

| New Member Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Getting evolution/inspiration I don't understand: Cold Water = need for long duration scrubber. I use the Evoulution in Denmark + rest of Scandinavia. I see no problem with scrubber duration. As i see it if the water is cold then the dives are shorter and then the Evolution is perfect. Welcome to this great site. Yours Poul |

As the scrubber becomes less and less efficient the colder the water gets. The Inspiration has a bigger scrubber - which incidentally does fit in an evolution case with a bit of jiggery pokery! Stuart

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Getting evolution/inspiration there are at least a few evolution owners who frequent this forum who do quite a bit of deco, deepish (250 ish), cold water diving with their evo's. I don't have the first hand experience yet to say what limitation the scrubber duration or size really boils down to in the deeper range. I guess it's a matter of how long and deep you dive. i get three and a half to five hours on a pack diving in the range of 80-130 fsw. Curious to hear how well that works... hmm makes me think about having an extra canister (oh, and temp stick $$$) and perhaps put it all on a travel frame down the line when start venturing deeper longer.Stuart

Someone I know has both and can cram the inspo scrubber into an evo case - though if it was me I would get the Inspo then use the travel frame, so you have that extra scrubber (If you need it when the shit hits the fan) but still something super small and light.Stuart
