![]() | Asle: introducing myself Hello, My name is Asle, I live inTromsoe, Norway, I was born in 65, and have been diving since 81. I`m a student of psychology, work in a psych. hospital, have a girlfriend that doesn`t dive (I swore that that would never happen again, but these things never happen the way you think they will). Anyway, she`s quite patient about it all, and has even started to talk about trying it herself. "Doesn`t seem scary at all when you talk about it..." I spend way too much money on gas and gear, and the value of my car, consequently, triples (roughly) when it`s packed for a nice afternoon of scuba. A couple of years ago me and one of my steady dive buddies started to get technical ambitions and took an IANTD advanced recrational trimix course, and a blender course. This led to a radical increase of gear lying around the house, and somewhat deeper and longer dives, but nothing radical. After a couple of years of lugging 2x12 L tanks 1-2 times a week (if I`m lucky), I started to get curious about rebreathers as a practical way to get a little deeper and stay a little longer. And that`s basically what I`m here for. I hope to get some insights about the practical limitations inherent in various designs, and eventually maybe I`ll join "The Dark Side" and break down my twin tanks for bailout gas stages.... |
