![]() | Hello from another potential newbie Good Afternoon My name is Dan Bruso. I'm from Northern Connecticut, in the U.S. I was referred here by Darlene (Scuba_Vixen), who saw my post on TDS stating that its not a question of if, but when, I transition to a rebreather from my OC gear. I've been diving about 6 years. I'm currently certified as a NAUI Heliair diver. I also work out of Scuba Shack in Rocky Hill, CT, as a PADI AI. I'm primarily a wreck diver. If its man-made and sank, I want to explore it. I usually dive with Heather Knowles and Dave Caldwell off of their boat, Gauntlet, which is where I became interested in an Rebreather. Heather and Dave dive Prisms. Another regular customer dives an Inspiration, while still another dives a KISS Classic. In fact, on a couple of recent trips, the RB divers have outnumbered the OC divers. I'm interested in an Rebreather because it appears to offer an opportunity for extended bottom time, reduced decompression time and greater opportunities for exploration. I'm leaning towards a Prism, but haven't made up my mind. I'm here to learn from the experts before I make up my mind. |

| Still Learning.... Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Hello from another potential newbie As someone now firmly in the beginner class I can only say that you've come to the right place. There are a lot of people on here with a lot of experience who are willing to share it. So if you have any questions and can't find a previous answer via the "Search" menu you are sure to get at least one answer or opinion from one of the Great Wise Elders of rebreathers who inhabit Rebreather World. Good luck with whatever Rebreather you decide upon.
