my mccr modified dolphin

Hello all,

I've just updated my website, it now contains a page describing my mccr converted dolphin. You'll see that not much is left of the original rebreather ;-)

Have a look at : http://jan.bruggeman.com . I'm looking forward to your comments.

Looks good Jan. Are you sure that is a KISS valve you are using?
Why did you feel the need to reduce the spring pressure on the dil addition reg? I actually preferred the heaveir demand valve pressure. You knew when dil was being added.

That looks like the Hydrogom CMF valve.

I didn't change the spring in my ADV, although several conversions I saw on the web did. I would like to have it a *bit* easier to crack, though, so I may yet change it, but not by much.

Looks like a nice clean conversion, who makes the stainless steel case?

I do. But they are all sold out and I don't plan to build another series.

Jeroen from Hydrogom builds a VERY nice case but $$$$$$$$

Re: my mccr modified dolphin

Thanks for the reactions. Yes, steevke did a great job on that case !

The reason for the lighter spring is the lower intermediate pressure in a regular first stage compared to the original dolphin first stage. I still find it hard enough to make the rebreather fill dilluent, so I'm afraid to use the original spring (eventough I've never tried it, and my spring from a Scubapro masterjacket does not feel much lighter).

And yes, it's not an original KISS valve, but the Hydrogom one. In the end the rebreather operates in the same way anyhow.
