A Hello and Introduction

Hello All

I am based in Derbyshire and am currently Open circuit, teaching recreational (PADI) and technical (PSAI).

I am planning to purchase a breather and go down the closed circuit route to facilitate some deeper/longer stuff.

I'd therefore like to lurk and to read and learn from the experience here and possibly ask the odd daft or obvious question, which I hope no body will mind.

regards

Ian

Ey up mate.

Keep meaning to get in touch about the mine, PM me your e-mail and we can sort out a date.

Any ideas on which unit? Inspo for teaching etc? Or is this just for you?

Welcome to the forum Ian,

The only dumb question is the one you are too afraid to ask, so crack on question wise.

Their is a wealth of information on this forum, look through the archives of postings and don't hesitate to shout up with new questions or clarifications.

Cheers,

Dave Cooper.

Smile Re: A Hello and Introduction

Thanks for your kind welcome all..

Diggs - I will pm my current e-mail, mate. Does that picture mean your home made box has bitten the dust?

In regard to the rebreather purchase plan, I am planning, at the moment, to borrow a box and do an inspiritation course with Andy H, and then following this with placing an order for a Meg! (so its purely for me...)

I've done some reading, and need to do a lot more, but Ive very limited experience using CCR and want to be certain I suit it and it suits me before I spend shedloads of money.

Re: A Hello and Introduction

That pic is the homebuild! But I've got a Classic KISS now, in the hope of getting some training, but I've not got round to that yet.

You won't go far wrong with the Meg, but can't you just get one and train on that? Seems like a waste to train on the inspo if you're not getting one, maybe there's a loophole I've missed. Can you crossover easily?

You have mail, too.

Re: A Hello and Introduction

Actually diggs thats a good point!

The idea about a CCR course on the inspro was about knowing and valueing Andy H's instruction and having a good go at using closed circuit before I had to committ myself.

Also hoping I can get a go on his Meg to try one???
