Hello!

Hi Everyone! Just wanted to introduce myself and say hi! Yesterday I called Andrew Driver - Placed an order for my Meg and will start class with my buddy in the next week! I can't wait - but until then - I'm just going back and reading as much from this site as I can!

Best Regards,

Dave Schott

Re: Hello!

Welcome. I have learned a lot here.

Hey, how long will it be until your Meg arrives? Will you have access to a unit while waiting for it to arrive? If it will be a long time, and you won't have access to a unit to use, you might want to think about taking your class near arrival date so that you won't have time to get rusty.

Re: Hello!

We are just getting together next week to do some class work and pool work - then when our re-breathers get here we will go up to the thousand islands for the diving. It sounds like they are moving a little faster than the 3 month wait right now - but I guess it's anyone's guess! lol

Re: Hello!

Definatly you want to train on your own rig, there is too much to learn to have a space between your class and getting the rig, lots to forget in the interim, also make sure you have plenty of time to go diving right after the course to lock all the good habits in. Good luck and have fun!! My buddy Dave got his unit last week and he needs to log 100 hours before we head for mexico in Jan for the cave course. go dave go!! Luckily he lives and works right on the water in BC, lucky dog!
