Introduce myself

Hello to all,
My name is Fabrice, I lived in France near Auxerre ( dept 89 ).
I'm Cmas instructor **, nitrox, trimix and to rebreather.
It is Jeff ( hippoconsulting ) who gave me the virus of rebreather and formed also.
I bought recently Submatix CCR.

Regards

Fabrice

Re: Introduce myself

Bienvenu Fabrice.
If ever you have time, it would be nice to hear more about your Submatix CCR. There's some info about the SCR but not the CCR - except if I missed it.
How'bout writing a little article and load it up i the library? You can even write it in French and I'll translate it if need be.
Best

Eric,

Whilst I and a number of others here, speak French fluently, please bear in mind that Rebreather World is an English speaking forum and as such posts that are made in languages other than English should have at least a translation into Anglo-Saxon as a point of courtesy.

Thanks for your understanding,

Dave Cooper

Re: Introduce myself

yo Fabrice

Welcome on Rebreather World. I heard that it is quite difficult or even impossible to dive on french dive boats unless you have done a french federation course, meaning is my courses and training so far do not count in France and I could not get onto a diving boat ........

Could you educate me on this point please ... cause you have some awesome wrecks in southern France ...

Matt

Hi Matt,

I was on my CCR course with Mike from your shop last week - BTW many thanks the course was excellent and I was very impressed with your set-up and Mike's teaching - I will be moving to the South of France and have heard rumours that the French can be very 'interessant' reagrding people's qualifications. What is you're experience with this and I was wondering if you plan to do a Protec CMAS cross over course to enable some of us non-CMAS qualified divers to dive happily in France in the future,

Regards,

Nick

Re: Certs in France

I thought CEing the agencies was done to put an end to such nonsense.
Well. if the French refuse it then the English must like the idea ...
