![]() | Just became a mCCR-diver after having dived my Dolphin in SCR-mode, and added a second gas, it was time to go all the way. KISS-valve has been installed, and yesterday I had two successfull ocean-dives in CCR-mode. This is fun! But: The Uwatec/Oxy2 is giving me deco really fast! -my OC-buddy for the day (a.k.a. Swimming-bailout-man) on air, had more no-decotime than I had. And I breathed from about 28% to 40% during the dives. What gives? -is it that crappy? Must I get a VR3 right away? Other then that, I'm very happy with the setup. Currently I use a 4l for O2 and a 5l for Dil/Drysuit/bailout. Then I dont need a stage until I start deep/decoing on it. The steel box, lets me use little weights, and the entire setup is actually rather light. More like 2x7/200-bottles on the wing. Jon O |

![]() | Re: Just became a mCCR-diver Hello Jon O, Good for u you modified yr Dolphin to mCCR ! You will never get back on SCR !. However, Oxy2 is not good for mCCR.. there is somewhere an article explaining this .. but it is in French and I can't find it anymore.. perhaps the French memebers in this group could translate it and post it???? I could also translate it for u.. if I can get this paper.. Now u are in mCCR, u should go for a 3 sensor readout with at least 2 separte systems... 1) get yrself a VR3 (or other) with O2 lincking cable (PIN required to access software) 2) get yrself a secundary systems with min 2 O2 sensor readout...preferably with HUD ....see rEvodream by Paul Raeymakers This is quite some investment.. but in the end this is where you will end up ! Best regards Ivan

Yep, I do have a 7l stagebottle that I plan to use in addition to my "on-board" Best Philippe Still 5l, 200bar if quite a lot of bailout for shallow dives, even if it is diluent and drysuit-gas. And -now I am just playing around with it -will bring the stage when I start to to _real_ dives with it... The swimming bailout-think was just a joke ![]() jon o |

I used one when I first converted and had the same issues. www.ppo2.com is your friend

![]() | Re: Just became a mCCR-diver Yes indeed, a VR3 or HSE will be inevitable.. As well as a secondary PPO2 readout.. Marc Munroe's dislplays work fine and are very reliable (PPO2.com) or via TECME.. However, I am speaking from a practical point of view... the calibration method... i.e. removing end-cap and using a small screw driver to calibrate the sensors is a hassle.. I used them, so I know. Look for a system with auto-calibration (as done with VR3 or HSE) Just wanted to help cheers Ivan
