Thanks for the info, it looks like it will be a VR3, and som stuff from tecme. As well as a secondary PPO2 readout.. Marc Munroe's dislplays work fine and are very reliable (PPO2.com) or via TECME.. However, I am speaking from a practical point of view... the calibration method... i.e. removing end-cap and using a small screw driver to calibrate the sensors is a hassle.. I used them, so I know. Look for a system with auto-calibration (as done with VR3 or HSE) Just wanted to help cheers Ivan Got some of the other bits from Martin, -so I will probably contact him soon ![]() Thanks for the tips though,.... jon o |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Just became a mCCR-diver However, Oxy2 is not good for mCCR.. there is somewhere an article explaining this .. but it is in French and I can't find it anymore.. perhaps the French memebers in this group could translate it and post it???? I could also translate it for u.. if I can get this paper.. ++++ hi Fu..long time ago i wrote an article on the former dragerkiss forum about oxy2 and mccr's shortly : the oxy2 evaluates the diver underwater effort comparing the loop Fo2 at the begining of the dive and the loop fo2 during the dive, for example one starts diving scr injecting .32 nitrox, at the begining of the dive the oxy 2 mesures a 0.28 fo2 in the loop and will consider that the normal effort of the diver is a fio2 of .28, if during the dive the oxy2 mesures a .20 fo2 the oxy 2 would consider that the diver is making a great effort and would increase the diver deco obligation . if one uses an oxy2 for ccr, one starts the dive for example with a .80 ifo2 in the loop, once at 50m the oxy2 will mesure a .25 fo2 and will think that the diver is making a huge effort (because de difference in fo2 between 0.80 and O.25 is huge in ccr mode comparated to scr mode) and will increase dramaticaly his deco duration. the only way of using the oxy2 for ccr is to start the dive with very weak o2 loop, a good idea for those who definitly want to die. I hope it can help regards jean mi |

![]() | Re: Just became a mCCR-diver Aha, thaks for that -It explains why I am seeing different results ![]() For now, I mainly use it to give me between 30-40% nitrox -and then deco-info seems correct -and that makes sense now.. The VR3 is hopefully soon on it's way -then this will no longer be an issue for me ![]() Jon O |
