Blown in from Egypt

Mornan all!

Just thought I'd say Hi and introduce myself.

Just this last week I completed my TDI Mod 1 with Kevin Rainsford (from Cornwall, UK) onboard M/Y Typhoon in the Red Sea. Confined water dives at Ras Kati & Mahmoudet - plowing furrows and confusing my drills, laughing at Chris and Kevin who then laughed at me when I screwed up...

Then followed by my open water training dives at Giannis D, Big Brother, Salem Express, Kingston and my certifying dive on the Thistlegorm.

I can honestly say that the 1hr 40mins on Big Brother put the WOW! factor back in my diving that I had forgotten a very long time ago... A napolean fish the size of a bus eyeballing me about 18" from my mask plate - it was inside my comfort zone! Staggering, staggering, staggering....

Looking forward to securing my personal unit, currently hoping to use the company hire equipment subject to it's use by the punters!

Have known Padowan for a number of years, perhaps too long... His enthusiasm and knowledge sowed the seed for me that is CCR. Thanks!

Dan

Aye, possibly Chris learned a few new swear words from Kev that week! I was somewhat surprised that such a shy retiring type as Kev had such a varied vocabulary...

A cracking course, looking forward to to getting out there and doing it.

I knew it was only a matter of time before you succumb!!! Look forward to sharing some dives with you out there in the near future.

But the squeezy hole into the steering room of the Thistlegorm will be off limits... we just wont fit!

I'll try ansd make some space on Hurricane for the two of us... get some up close and personal action with the Hammerheads!

We'll get into that steering room again, but I reckon we'll either have to do it on bailout cylinders, or posting the boxes through in front....
