![]() | Hello Hello, I am certified on Dolphin sice 1998, however I dived on it only occasionally. Now I just started my Ispiriation course, with strong idea to dive on it as frequently as possible, I even bought one used unit. As a new to this I see now to basic problems: 1. Connectors of O2 cells, they fail so frequently. My instructor is using ultrasonic bath to fix this, but it seems that he is doing this almost every second dive or so. Do you know how to solve this for long? Change contacts to goldplated or is there any solution for cleaning this contacts much easier to use than ultasonic bath? 2. The main problem for me is - as I am 45 old man wearing strong cylindrical glasses, same in my mask - poor visibility of handsets display. I can't recognize through the plastic cover whether ppO2 is 0.7 or 1.3. First of all I will go to my sport optometrist and try to get better lenses for my mask. However the ones I am using currently are very good for my Uwatec computers, HP gauges and are perfect for OC diving. Only display on my Citizen scuba watch is badly visible especially in dim light. Is there any possibility to help in this situation. Did anybody tried something? Magnifying glass glued to handset without plastic cover sounds stupid. Anyhow I have to see what is ppO2 otherwise I will be forced to sell my unit. I will be happy to receive any suggestions. Mirek |
