Dan,

Welcome aboard Ford's "Black Sheep Squadron" of re-breather divers. We've got lots of people with lots of experience in that very thing, so ask away.

Tell us some more about yourself, your diving, and post some piccies.

Again, welcome!

Rob Davie

Hello and welcome!

What's the diving like in Sweden?

Thank you for the warm welcome, the diving in sweden can be described as waried and pretty cold.
We do have alot of really old and fantastic wrecks and abandoned mines. The temp is around 0-10C for the deep and overhead stuff.
The main reason i drifted along to the dark side is the advantage of warm breathing gas and the benefits of Rebreather-diving in an overhead environment.

I live in Karlstad a town in just about the middle of Sweden with one of our great lakes just outside my doorstep with an estimate of about 5000 shipwrecks and a few downed airplanes A one hour drive takes me to a region full off undived old abandoned mines just begging to be explored. 2 h takes me to the Swedish Westcoast and 3,5h takes me to the Baltic sea with its brackish water and wellpreserved wrecks.
The one thing i miss is long unexplored natural caves but you can´t have everything can you?...
