Hello from Befuddled

It is nice to find a site dedicated to rebreathers. Hopefully, searching this site will help me make the jump from open circuit diving to ccr. I am 60 years old, trimix certified, have a significant amount of deep, 180 - 260 fsw diving experience in both warm and cold water. Although I am in tip top physical condition, if I am to extend my tec divng further, I have to look a ccr's simply because the strain on my back will be reduced appreciably. I have looked a several units, never used them, and have acquaintances who are meg users, inspiration users, and prism users. All units have pros and cons. $$$$ are important since there appears not to be payment plans attached to purchasing such expensive pieces of equipment. I have considered purchasing used equipment but with a ccr, I have to assume that cheap is very often dear in the end.
I am not a cave diver nor will I probably ever be one, deep wrecks and big critters are my thing so that's my mission. I probably sound like every other newbie but obviously I am struggling with a very important decision. Any help would be appreciated.
