![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I'm a diver/instructor out of Ottawa, Canada. I've really been fired up by the idea of homebuilding since making twin 50W halogen video lights using plumbing fittings and an otter box. I'm starting to experiment with rebreathers as I lack the funds to purchase one - I maybe looking at a used dolphin in the next 6 months but I have a trip to australia planned this year and it consume the majority of my disposable income. I'm a PADI instructor and TDI Adv nitrox/deco cert. diver. I dive double most of the time but I don't nearly get enough tech dives in as my wife is strictly a recreational diver. |

If you can hook up with some of the members down under you can do some research for your project. Plenty of converted Dolphins down there, as well as the Abyss kit. ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Hi all Thanks, guys. I haven't seen this abyss kit in my travels but a quick google produces a link on therebreathersite.nl talking about kerry mackenzie www.vk4tub.org which is down. Is there a new site? My first attempt will ideally be a KISS "hunchback" type like the one in this link http://www.wern.com/hunchback/ (which I found here). I might buy a hydrogom valve but I like the idea of using off the shelf swagelock fittings instead. Anyone know where to get drager parts cheap? |
