| New Member Current Rebreather/s: | Hi from Downunder Been lurking here for a while, getting info on what is available and what is practical. Learned to dive on a Dolphin a couple of years ago and then promptly didn't use it until just recently. Just starting to get into cave diving (cav/sinkhole qualified at the moment), and have a buddy who is hasseling me to dump my OC and get into a CCR. Did one dive on a prism and thought I was going to die. Have been a scuba instructor for nearly 10 years and very much felt like it was my first time in the water. No buoyancy, rapid ascents, much worse then I remember my SCR training being. Three hours later. no longer afraid of moving, still not real comfortable, but getting better. Next step is to look at what CCR to use mainly for caves, (Cocklebiddy beckons here in WA). Thanks in advance for your answers to dumb questions. Danny |

| Who loves ya, baby ![]() ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Hi from Downunder Hi Danny, welcome to Rebreather World. ![]() Takes a bit of adjustment, OC to CC. Bouyancy might be a bit more of a challenge with a CCR than a SCR because there is (supposed to be) less gas in the loop. Hence it can expand more. In a cmf-SCR you're more or less at full loop most of time, blowing some bubbles. ![]() |

Drop me a line and lets catchup for a beer sometime, and if you are keen to look over units let me know we have a nice little collection going here. Meg, PRISM and Sport Kiss. Who are you diving with in Perth? Cheers Chriso
