| Custom Title Allowed! Current Rebreather/s: | Upcoming Megalodon Diver, Netherlands Hi all, Yesterday i finaly recheaved my Meg, after weeks of waiting i cold hold her for the first time. Been busy assembling the unit all evening. Damn shame i couldn't take her to bed with me, my girl didn't allow it. Fine, she had it her way, I just remained downstairs looking at my new girlfreind for several hours. Today i made the call to set some trainingdates, and it can't happen soon enough. After years of open circuit diving, up to expeditional trimix, (deep) wreck and caving it was time to enter a new chapter in my diving life, the way of rebreather diving. Did some research, asked around and a few months ago the unit was ordered, my Meg was on her way. Been diving now for 21 years, seen a lot and done a lot with diving, now time to push the limits again. Can't wait to get in the water with the Meg, just a few days from now i'll have my 'maiden'dive...... Greetings to you all Hans

| Custom Title Allowed! Current Rebreather/s: | Well, u asked, i'll try to answer. As known i've bought a meg (together with my M8, so there are 2 of those crazy divers living almost next to eachother). Equipped the meg with a OMS dual bladder and IQ-pack. Today i installed an 8 mm thick stainless steel backplate (home made) for the weight (aprox. 6 kilo) and left out the pillow for the back wich comes with the IQ-pack. Now still struggling with the counterlungs, need to adjust the placement a little. I added 2 D-rings (home made) wich stick out underneath the couterlungs (left and right) to clip stages. Later on i will see if i can fit an argon tank for the dry suit inflation in a prober way and need to seek a spot for the accu-pack of my lamp. Further the meg is provided with a ADV and isolator and it also came with the tigergear bottle system, as well as an extra tigergear system for the two extra bottles we're gonna order soon. Now i need to shorten the dilluent gaugehose, this can be a little shorter, so that's something for tonight aswel. Of course the unit is in the bright shiny colour black, aswel as most additions i made so far. And i can say the girlfriend likes the looks of the unit, but has some problems with my capabillity to divide the attention between her and my Meg, i think she'll grow accostummed to it (she now will conduct the first training session with me )As soon i think i've got the unit proparly set up i will make some pic's and share them with u all Silent greetings Flup

| Re: Upcoming Megalodon Diver, Netherlands A Meg stand from narked@90 will help you with your argon set up problem and will also protect you Meg canister from getting all scratched up. It also makes the unit ride much nicer and improves the getting in and out part. My wife now wishes she had her stand when she first got here brand new MEG. It has made life much easier!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for her. Have fun with your new adventure ![]() |
