![]() | Hello from Hamburg, Germany Hi all, its time for an short introduction of myself. I had my first diving experiences in 1984. Became an PADI Instructor in 94 and worked several Years in Red-, Med-, and Baltic-Sea. Started rebreather diving, after the admission of a serious occupation, in 99 with the Inspiration. Remember these ultra solid, heavy weight fibre-glas cases? Last Year I sold it and spend the summer season with waiting for my evolution and OC Diving. Finaly I found my Evo under the Christmas tree. And after just 15 hours of diving in cold water I am really sure that it was worth the time i had to wait for it. As you have already noted I an not a native speaker, so do not blame me for my english writing Luzian |

As I dive the Inspiration Classic (just got it second hand in August 2005), I am curious why you switched to the Evolution? What sort of diving do you normally do? Is there any interesting diving off Hamburg or in the near vicinity? Next time I come to Germany I may bring the Rebreather if there is something to see up there! Where I come from (Meißen, near Dresden) there probably isn't much to dive :-)))

![]() | Re: Hello from Hamburg, Germany Sven, just do not even think about taking your Inspi with you when travelling from Sydney to Germany it is not worth the effort. I realy like Hamburg but the Dive Sites around here are rare and not really exciting. There is a lake in Hemmoor an hour to go or you have to go to North- or Baltic Sea around 1 - 2 hours to drive and it just makes sense while diving from a Boat there are some nice wrecks but nothing special. I have made my decision for the Evolution cause I like the integration, allways a big thing for IT people, of the vision electronic and of course I prefer the handling, especialy when travelling, of this tiny little unit. The only Difference between the Evo and the (vision)Inspi is the size of the onboard Tanks and the Scrubber Size. After the last two dives, around 55m 120 min each, my Temp Stick showed me that my Scrubber was not even half saturated and I went out of the water with around 160 bar in both onboard Tanks.( I allways change or refill tanks between dives) So I can find absolutly no reason to buy an Inspiration insted of the Evolution. Best regards Luzian |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Hello from Hamburg, Germany ach so...you think hemmoor is murky how's diving the channel theese days, anke? @sven: diving in saxony IMHO is at eyelevel with southern bavaria and alps. we frequently dive abandoned mines, openwater and overhead. there's one, well known about 10km from Meissen, as long nobody messing up the viz its 40m+, 8 centidegrees all year, big halls. overhead is 8 centidegrees all year, quarry 2-8, 4-20 ( only shallow stops, 9 and 6 ) in summertimes to dive miltitz you need to apply here: http://cave-diving.de/Cavediving/05a...skalkwerk.html or here: http://tauchtreffdd.de/ well, definetly all this is not great barrier reef ![]() cheers, hoffi |

![]() | Re: Hello from Hamburg, Germany Moin! The Germans may not take over, but at least the community is slowly growing. There is more to Rebreather Diving in Germany than the guys from RAB are trying to tell us. Hemmoor is OK, but its not worth taking a breather half around the globe. Hab immer 5 bar mehr als noetig Cheers Jens |
