Hello from Mendota, Virginia USA

I hope everyone is doing well,

I am Scott, and as you can probably guess, I am new around here

I have been interested in the ocean and 'playing' in it for quite some time, which was certainly helped by growing up in Florida.

I joined the US Navy at 17, and bobbed around for a bit, but never went any farther than Puerto Rico though =( I started out as a fireman/electrician, and then became a Hospital Corpsman. While I was in I managed to earn an Associates in Computer and Electronic Technologies. I left active duty in July 2004, and still have a few years of inactive reserve. I am currently back in college studying Photography and Digital Imaging.

In September of 2005 I finally took the plunge and got PADI OW certified at Adventure Diving on the outskirts of Bristol Virginia/Tennessee. As soon as the dive shop gets back from Cozumel, I am going to see when the next AOW and Rescue Diver classes are.

I am in the process of deciding what equipment I will buy to support this expensive hobby/lifestyle I have chosen to endeavor in. Which is part of the reason why I have joined, rather than just lurking.. so I can bug you all with my frivolous questions

hey scott, welcome. I think you will find this to be the most informative source of information on rebreather diving around. it has sure been invaluable in helping me choose the right rebreather for my purposes.
