When you do get to diving your unit up there, give us some reports of the pro's and con's of both the machine, and the diving. We look forward to that!

Welcome to Rebreather World, you've found the best of it's kind! there is a lot to learn here and the folks here are pretty nice. I am getting ready to buy a eCCR, actually two, one for me and one for my wife. The Optima impressed me the most so far in pool sessions in terms of overall feel. I've been reluctant to spring for one as there is so little feed back available on how they are holding up over time and because the scrubber adapter for granular sorb has not come out yet. So, please when you get some hours on yours give us the low down on what you like and what you'd wished were different. From the few i've heard from so far, people seem to be quite happy with their's. Again, welcome and happy surfing!!

Thank you for the welcome!!! This website is a terrific source of CCR lore! I only wish I had come across it sooner. I tripped over it two weeks ago while doing a Google search for Optima related articles on the net. Once I get some time on my O2ptima, I'll post a report here. It's going to be a while though as it's a bit cold here.

Hello from Alexandria!

I have also purchased the optima and I am going through the training right now. It is a little cold to be diving right now but hopefully I will be soon.

PM me offline and we can swap contact info. Would love to go diving but i am not that keen on cold dark places yet. What can I say I still like having lots of vis

The unit so far is pretty good, but there are a few things i would like to tweak.. want to get more experience on the unit first.

Hello and welcome to rebreatherworld. If you haven't yet make sure you check out www.ocdiver Ted Green is the captain he dives a homebuilt and runs a real nice boat

.I myself dive a converted Dolphin and she has performed flawlessly. If your interested pm me and i can tell you some of the dates i am diving with Ted if you want to hook up. Oh I am up in Baltimore, so not to far from you

Hello again to all.

To Helium_diver, I checked out the website you mentioned. I drooled over the dive's they have planned. I'll definitely be booking with them. I used to dive a Dolphin before getting my O2ptima. So I now have a fully rigged Dolphin for sale. Oxy02, ZO2, Din adapter, extendair retrofit etc.

To answer Jpjsscuba, yes Jeff Johnson was my instructor. I'll be doing Trimix with him once a I get some more hours on my CCR. He's been trying to talk me into caving...I don't know about that though...
