![]() | So there I was enjoying a fantastic Thai meal with a beautiful girl: I looked over at where our two beer bottles were standing on the table on either side of a cylindrical glass candle holder and I thought "That looks just like a mini-Meg" and then "If I put this table number marker around the candle it'll look just like a Sport Kiss"... And I don't even have a Rebreather yet! ![]() I've probably spent the equivalent of a year's worth of time reading all the posts here and on YD to do with Rebreather, and have learnt an incredible amount - I would never have believed it was possible to learn so much about something without ever touching one! Of course, as I well know, theory is one thing, practical something else entirely! Hopefully doing all the mental gymnastics before actually trying anything out is good prep and will make the learning curve that much gentler. Could be wrong here, but it seems from the posts that Rebreather diving is as much about a way of thinking as a way of acting (comments welcomed!).Currently a recreational OC diver DM level with about 110 dives. I'm originally from South Africa, but have been living in London for the past 5 years. It took 4 years for me to take the the cold UK plunge but I am now diving dry and dark, and loving it. I'm very lucky to be off to Honduras in about a month's time for a 6 month trip where I hope to spend most of it diving around the Bay Islands. If someone over there is teaching SK or Meg classes, I may come back even poorer than I expect to... ![]() I look forward to a ton more incredibly useful information from you guys - I know I've only scratched (or better still skimmed) the surface on this... Cheers Mark |

Resistance is futile in any case! As you've seen, the folks here are friendly, and willing to share info, and to talk about rebreathers at the drop of a hat...Hell, really, none of us needs any excuse! Welcome aboard!
