Hello from Denmark!

Hi Members of "Rebreather World".

I started rebreatherdiving on my SCR Dräger Dolphin in 2002, but after only a few hours in the water, I became very keen on a conversion to MCCR.

In the folowing 6months I learned a lot and came in contact with so many nice people at the Dräger Smartgroup List.
Now, after more than 200 hours in the water with my MCCR I still love diving the unit.
Well, after watching a Ouroboros instructor-course, runned by Kevin Gurr, in Norway, 2005, I would love to have such a unit, but my budget keeps this as a dream so far.

Besides rebreatherdiving I have another passion: Underwaterphotography. What this is about you can take a closer look at here: www.photosub.dk

Best regards to everybody at "Rebreather World".

Re: Hello from Denmark!

Hi Kim, good to have you here, welcome to Rebreather World.
The link to your Dolphin CCR's webpage has been in our links section for a long time.
I agree, the Ouroboros is a very nice rig.

Re: Hello from Denmark!

Hi Stefan and thank you for your nice welcome!

I see the link to my Dolphin is added by you.... hope it has brought good ideas and help to other owners of converted/homebuild units.

Even I'm not keen on electronic CCR's, the electronics in the Ouroboros looks VERY nice and absolutely well working! Like Kevin says: This unit really do so much to keep you alive!

Safe diving..... Kim Meineche!

Re: Hello from Denmark!

Welcome to Rebreather World

I also dive a converted Dolphin, thanks for having such a helpfull website. You guys that have already been diving conversions sure give us newcomers a leg up on the developement curve.

One question, if I might,

How are the KISS OC/DSVs working out?

That's one thing I'd still like to add to mine. Has just changing the Oring size from the original Drager been all that's required, now that you've been diving it for a while?

Re: Hello from Denmark!

Hi Darlene!

Sorry for my late reply.... haven't been online for a while but finally I'm here!

Thank you for your nice words about my website! :-)

The KISS OC/DSV is still working perfect.... feels very safe to dive and compared to the original Dräger DSV, it's VERY easy to handle....even with just ONE hand ind cold water with thick gloves! And yes..... I have only replaced the O-rings to make it fit the original Dräger-fittings! :-)

Best regards and safe diving!

Kim! :-)

Re: Hello from Denmark!

Hey Kim,

About time you got here!!! What took you so long?

We've chatted in years gone past on the Drager Smartgroups, I think you'll find this board takes some beating. Its not just the sweet interface, its the gang of reprobates that populate it . Every one of them is a star.

Check the links on your profile mate, they are not quite right.
Again, great to see you here mate.

Brent

Hi Brent!

Nice to be here! :-)

I actually don't know why it took me that long to subscribe to this beatiful and informative forum??? Perhaps I've been to bussy with my uw-photography? :-)

I checked the links in my profile and see it does not work when clicked, but that's because I put both my websites on my profile.... do you know if it's possible to add more than one link and still keep it working?

Best regards from Kim! :-)

Hey Kim,

AFAIK you can only have one web link as your homepage on your profile, but you can put as many as you want on your signature.
That will advertise them on every post you make, the signature is also retrospective. That is, if you change it, all your posts past and present will get the new signature applied to it.
Cool huh!

There's been a lot of people on here over the last few months who have been considering converting their Dolphins to CCR. I'm sure you will be kept busy helping out!!

Brent.

Hi Brent!

Over the years I'm amazed about how many guys from how many places in the world who have been asking me questions about the conversion, but it's always nice to be able to help other people.
