Thanks for all the encouragement! No worries about the name thing- half the time I can't remember my own name anyway ;-) so why should anyone else?

I half (OK, more than half) expected to get a lot of crap from both sides for my "defection". Pleasantly that has not been the case. The vibe on this board is interesting- much more civil than any other I have seen. Thanks to all for being welcoming!

I think you'll find that by the time some one is diving an Rebreather, or seriously contemplating it, and hence they frequent here, that their mind has to have been opened up in a way you don't see as often in OC only divers. It makes them much more open to discussion of issues than spouting dogma. RB's are still the "new kid on the block" and as such both the hardware and user techniques are still in a developing period. I think we all feel that we are searching for the best way to do things, and we use each other's experiences as sounding boards.

The hardest part of transition, is foregoing the dives you often did on OC, but aren't yet ready to do on CC.
