| New Member Current Rebreather/s: | Hi all,I joined recently and have really enjoyed the forum, lots of good info, write ups and stories.I am currently an OC diver (don't all boo and hiss!) but will be doing my MOD1 and getting a Rebreather this year (money allowing). Will probably be selling the twins to fund the new kit though. Sorry to see them go, but they are making way for a whole new world of diving! :-) Take care! Eoin Ireland. |

The guys in here are really good in giving you some pointers to consider. It helped me greatly when I was looking for a unit. Good luck with your research & welcome to the dark side ![]()

| Re: Newbie to RBW Eoin, Welcome aboard Rebreather World. It's the best darn resource you can find for rebreather information anywhere. Don't feel bad about being an OC diver. We all were once lost and misguided. We are glad that you have come to the "Dark Side" of diving, young Jedi! Welcome aboard! Rob Davie RBW Admin |

| New Member Current Rebreather/s: | Cheers guys! Ideally I'd like a Meg or even a Borris, but finances being what they are I'll probably end up getting a 2nd hand YBOD. I've heard of a couple going for around £2,500 (plus the MOD1 of course), which seems to be the going rate. I was origianlly going to go full Trimix OC and then go to the "dark side" , but I don't see the point of doing the Trimix OC....then giving up OC! Any recommendations (units, instructors, supplies etc...), greatly appreciated. I'm on a trip to Scapa Flow in June, but I reckon that would be a tight fit to get the MOD1 and dive in the deep end by then!! Ta for now! Eoin. |
