Oh. Photography training. I have not taken any formal photography courses. I have always enjoyed land photography and read books or spoke with good photographers. I am fortunate enough to know a few great digital land photographers and a couple of underwater ones. I keep active with Digital Photography discussion boards for tips and hints. I find www.dpreview.com very helpful. I guess I ask a lot of questions and get good answers.

Perhaps one day I will take a formal photography course. Maybe when I upgrade to a Digital SLR will be the time.

I would just tell them to RTFM. If someone is already certified on the Insp, that's all needed since the differences are so minimal between them.

If any instructor is charging "hundreds of dollars", they are fluffing and students need to stay away from them. Just my opnion, thus the remark earlier.

I agree. A seasoned and knowledgable Inspiration diver could probably just read the manual. At the time I was as green as it gets so the additional free training was appreciated.

I just re-read my post. It sounded a lot harsher than what I meant to say. I was in a hurry to run off to celebrate the New Year. Very sorry...

I just hate instructors who fluff students with too many un-needed courses for a few extra bucks. But I think we are on the same page on that issue.

Anyway, sorry and wish you a safe New Year celebration.
