![]() | Hello from Sunny South Florida New to the board, Had a chance to try out the old US NAVY LAR-V years ago and would love to get back into the silent side of diving some day. First I would like to gather as much info from knowledgeable people such as yourselves before I decide what to buy. Been actively diving around the world since 1986 / PADI DM since 1996, Asst. Instructor 1998 and OWSI / MSDT 2003. Active with U/W photo/video as well as hunting of all sorts. USCG 100 Ton Captain's License - Worked day boats and liveaboards - ready to roll anywhere worldwide if you need a dive buddy. Last edited by WetDawg : 13th December 2005 at 20:27. |

Happy to have you aboard. You will find, as you research things on this Board, that 'breathers have improved a WHOLE lot since the olden days, although the LAR 5 is still a great machine. Welcome aboard, mate! Rob

You are welcome to dive with me any time. In fact, if I can manage to get the tree up this week, my wife may let me dive this weekend!!! |

If you send me your email via PM, I send out email every week to try to get a group of divers together so that we can all go out together on a local dive boat. I do dives ranging from recreational to deep technical. For the time being, I will be tied up with my rebreather training (as I am just getting started with rebreather diving). After that, I will not be diving deep until I have gained the experience using the rebreather. I do not expect to dive open circuit again even if that means I will have to pass up the chance to do some great deep dives. I am okay with working up to them properly. Welcome, and I hope we get the chance to dive together soon. |
