I have no idea how you came about Sharks......

and besides that I don't need to go dive in a Aquarium with sharks, I have seen plenty of them, but not in the Med

Hi RBN,

Near Barcelona, around 15Km thre is a place called Mataro. Good Fish Life (Congers,Lobsters,Eels ..etc). But not good for Gorgonia and not good visibility. Less than in Roses. Because all is sand. Depth are around 20m and all the dive sites are flat. Nothing from surface to bottom. Only blue. But is very good for Fish Life. Better than Costa Brava... at the moment. Prices are GOOD!!!. Only Boat 15 Eu. Boat + Tank 20 Eu. Pay 5 and dive 6

and has NITROX

Well, we travel each year to Estartit for a technical refreshment training and a 4 days week-end. We tried to get Nitrox since 2003, got a few tanks filled in 2004 for an extra 12 € each, over boat and air filling. The dive sellers built a new common filling center, that was not operationnel in 2005, but should not allow better conditions for Nitrox in l'Estartit. If someone believes there is a good contact there, PLEASE LET ME KNOW !

But there are plenty of superb dives around the Medas, deep or shallow, with lots of species thanks to the efficient protection of the area. Unfortunately no night dive at all allowed on the islands.

Am going diving in Estartit next week and was wondering if there are any dive operators there who can fill O2 (or even He??)? Sorb OK as I will bring with me, but bit of a pain to have to take some O2 bottles.
