| New Member Current Rebreather/s: | Hello from Southeast US Hello from Atlanta, Georgia/Copperhill, Tennessee: Since I have just gotten back my Inspiration/Hammerhead from a long vacation (getting its new handsets) and I actually am beginning to dive it again (after many months on OC..) I thought I'd say hi over here as I have not yet posted to this site. The site looks great and I look forward to learning a lot from you folks, and contributing as I am able. Its nice to begin to see more CCR's in caves finally... I did a dive yesterday in FLA and saw a couple of KISSes, a new Optima and another Hammerheaded Inspiration - something I would have never seen a year ago! John |

John I was wondering why you never joined this forum... but probably it was just like me... few time to post even though it was some time that I was reading the interesting articles. It is a pleasure for all of us to have you in, I hope you are going to share with us all your diving exparience... recycling your exaled gas! For sure what you said is true: only one year ago was difficult to find rebreather dive buddy in florida .... I remember how difficult was for me (YBOD diver) to find a CC buddy... finally I ran into you at Edd place... I am happy that there is a so strong growing in the reb community. Enjoy your new electronics and.... you know... you can come to dive the med sea whenever you want! PS: how do you like my homemade bailout reb in the pic!? ciao from me and Valentina take care gabry |

Madison is a perfect place for a Rebreather....I'll actually be able to do the far reaches of the Courtyard without a scooter now! I know I can easily swim out from the end of Rocky Horror on an aluminum 80 and still have lots of gas to spare(enough to do a Godzilla room circuit and still have a reserve), so with a Rebreather team it will be no problem carrying enough bailout.Maybe one day you can bring a spare Optima along, and I could take it for a test run... I'll even let ya dive my Meg, if you could be seen on such a contraption. Mike |

It's looking good with the cover on it these days - last time I saw you dive it (several weeks ago) it was still "nekkid" .. Glad Madison was nice... I'll have to give it a go soon as well.. Millpond might be next on the list though...Quote: (Originally Posted by MikeH) Welcome aboard, John. We'll definitely get together soon for some Rebreather cave diving. Most Def. Mike... last time was too long ago - I'm glad to see I won't be as alone these days on the 'breather when I'm hanging around cave country...JB |

You're lucky I'll still dive with you, though.....I usually avoid the guys with the white vans. Mike |

LOL - let's just say that more than 1 unsuspecting "wannabe" has been a bit surprised when I've opened up the back of the windowless white van and, Lo and Behold - a YBOD!! Mike - after they mistakenly take me for someone of another "persuasion"!Better than taking a cross to a vampire! LOL JB Last edited by resolute : 14th December 2005 at 23:16. |
