Hello All From Pennsylvania

Hello All,
Let me introduce my self I am currently a Padi Rescue Diver with Nitrox, search & recovery and wreck specialties. I have been diving pretty steady for the past 3 years and have logged 175 dives.
I am currently thinking about going rebreathers so I thought this was the place to do some research and ask some questions. I am planning a trip to Florida in Feb and would like to combine Cavern/intro Cave with re breather class. any help from any rebreather veterans would be much appriciated.
Thanks for any help Toolboxdiver

First of all, that can't be done with any agency I know of. As far as I know, all agencies require Rebreather training to be done in open water, not overhead.

Plus, you will have enough to learn with one course or the other....put both together, and you'll likely be severely overloaded.

Re: Hello All From Pennsylvania

I think if you are decided on going to an Rebreather one of your hardest choices will be deciding what model to go for!

Then when yo have done the training you will be glad you decided not to do a cavern course at the same time - to say your bouyancy control needs to be remastered is something of an under statement - te hehehe

The first thing you need to do is get some additional Nitrox training. IANTD requires advanced nitrox to take a CCR class. It may be combined but doing it before your CCR class is better. You will have enough to learn during the CCR class without any other distractions.
