Evolution owner in Oslo, Norway

Hi all

I have been a member of the forum for nearly a year now,
but have now upgraded my status to owning an Evolution ;-)

My wife an I took the CCR course in Sharm in March,
after getting totally hook on a try-dive last summer.
Since then I have procaimed loudly to both myself and my wife that I would NOT buy a unit.

But walking out of the Tekstreme office in Sharm, certificate in hand,
my wife said the strangest thing:
"After having spent so much money and time to take the certificate,
it's a waste not buying the unit ..."

At the time we were over the moon of joy and relived at having passed,
since only the day before I had managed some rather stupid maneuvers.

I assumed we would get our senses back after returning to the real world.
Since then I have been following all the sales on the board and
now finally made the big jump of buying one of them.

Ideally we need two units, but for now, one of us will have to go OC.
(please don't flame me for that - these things cost money)

If there is any CCR diver from Oslo on the board, please contact me.
But I must warn you, that my dives will be really simple until I build my
confidence.

Congratulations - you won't regret it. Actually, you might when the bills come in, but only for a very short while

My wife and I both dive an Evo and share one unit. That's not down to lack of cash, or at least not primarily. We have young kids and have decided not to dive on the same trips until they are a lot older. So, we can get away with one unit.

Good luck,

Phil

Re: Evolution owner in Oslo, Norway

Congrats on your CCR course and desicion to buy one! Although I would recommend to buy one for your wife as well!
(And yes, I speak from own experience!)

My husband and I live in Oslo, and have dived CCR since 2006. We are at CCR trimix level, and mostly do deep dives often including wrecks.
The number of CCR divers in Norway and the Oslo area are increasing, and I know there are some Inspiration divers in the Moss area.

I am not diving these days myself, as we are expecting a new contrubution to the diving community (Mini-Meg diver)

Good luck with your CCR diving! I know you will enjoy it!
