| Re: Hi All Good man Adrian - way to come clean! I think you'll be very happy living up here and you'll enjoy our diverse diving environment. Don't forget that you'll be within driving distance Thanks for the heads-up on what to anticipate during my Filthy Northeastern Diving Apprenticeship. I only hope that one day, after several years of training in the quarries, I might possibly acquire the advanced skills needed to dive with you guys - I can't wait until some day I come up off of a dive with my drysuit covered in rusty scuff marks from artifact collecting on a Northeast wreck in no visibility freezing water! YES!! I even sold my BMW and bought a big old pickup truck w/ a block heater on it - I should fit in just fine up there now!! And just imagine how much money I'm going to save from not having to buy any suntan lotion!! of some great Atlantic wreck diving, as well. After a couple of classes in more advanced diving than you're used to and maybe a summer's worth of the quarry, you should be qualified to go out on some of the boats. I'm sure that BMW of yours will fetch a pretty penny towards the new SUV you're going to need to haul around all of your gear; and that Imelda-Marcos-like collection of flip-flops you own should put a serious dent in the cost of a drysuit. Again, congrats and I'm looking forward to the house-warming party in the Lehigh Valley ...

| Re: Hi All Well nice to meet you all. Especially those I didn't actually meet. Ahhh, rumor mills and conspiracy theories. I guess a dumbass like me could plug a few random names each week and keep this thread going forever. As far as diving cold quarries.. I guess you rebreather guys haven't figured that one out yet. Dive Open Circuit so you do not have a best mix + dive deep = good narc = don't feel the cold. It's that simple. ![]() Thanks -Andy |
