Message from the Skipper...

Since I am getting the piss taken out of me in the current photo caption competition thread in the surface interval forum, I thought I better introduce myself, and set the record straight.

Please see attached before and after photo's of the sinking of our RIB. I'm not the ugly bastard up to his knees in water...

1) This vessel was totally rebuilt with new pontoons and bow extention only 6 months previously.

2) It was not my fault.

3) Yes, the Insurance company is going to pay out.

4) Did I mention that it was not my fault?

5) Most important, the rebreather lived (see it lashed to the centre console in the photo.)

6) To all those local divers who like to take the piss, you bitch slappers, next deep trimix tec expedition, you can f*****g hitch hike.

YEAY Grant! How's it going good buddy. It wasn't me honest! It was Ray and that Cherman Nutty dentist, Christian! I'm pretty sure Helen Clarke was taking the piss as well so don't vote for her, man!.

Actually Grant, in that second pictures the boat looks like it got coveted into a pretty good dive egress ramp. Just be careful with that post in the front........

Bad move publishing this info. Dunno about the others, but Lermy's so tight he sqeaks when he walks. He'll just insist that you pay for the drinks and that the first dive's a freebie.

Hang on. The only piece of kit that's supposed to get submerged is the only bit you managed to keep dry?

I like your style. You will fit in well here. Of course to pay back the Kiwi Contingency, you could always insist that as you're the Skipper, in future you decide the maximum depth of the dives they undertake on your boat....at least then if the same thing happens you can walk it back in.

You obviously failed to read the small print within the Rebreather World Terms and Conditions, where it requires all members witnessing any mishaps or hearing any gossip about a fellow rebreather diver, which would serve to make them look like an a%# and give the rebreather diving community a good chuckle, immediately be posted, including any applicable supporting information or pictures, for the benifit of all Rebreather World members, regardless of the detrimental psychological affects it may have on the source of the information.
