| Hello from Wisconsin I've been diving since 1991 and have made the progression from recreational diving to "beyond recreational" diving about 6 years ago. I really had not considered rebreathers until this transition and really did not appreciate the logistics involved in gas management for remote locations until trimix diving. As you can see from my avatar, we learned pretty quickly with hauling multiple supply bottles and doubles to dive locations that a rebreathers might be worth considering. I joined RBW and started reading. This site has been a great resource and I was able to soak up a pretty solid amount of information allowing me to make educated decisions on what unit would suit my diving best. So, after long thought and money savings I pulled the pin a bit earlier than I expected and put money down on a Sentinel. I was fortunate enough to complete the MOD 1 training here in the US last week. Now that I have a whole 503 minutes on the Sentinel, I feel that I have a license to learn more and will enjoy diving it every possible chance. I won't be selling the doubles yet though (they make good dil gas banks)!! ![]() |

| Re: Hello from Wisconsin Welcome and congratulations on your new adventure. I'm pretty much in the same "boat" so to speak, with just a few more hours on my boris. Hopefully we'll meet up on Greg's boat one of these times, unless your going to be up in the straits this weekend with him. |

| Re: Hello from Wisconsin Congratulations on the Sentinel purchase and welcome to the darkside from Florida! We've actually had a Sentinel onboard our last couple Florida S.C.R.U.B.'s trips, because Mark (n2diving) from RebreatherExpress.com has recently been diving with one. It seem a bit big, especially compared to an Optima with twin 13cf cylinders, but it's my understanding that the electronics are pretty awesome. Here's a few pics of Mark and his rebreather from the last couple of weekends: Enjoy the new toy!

| Re: Hello from Wisconsin Thanks sfldiver, it is definitely not a small unit but it breathes very well and trim is spectactular after you get it dialed in. HUD's are nice and the electronics are quite nice also. I am really enjoying the color screen on the primary. Glad to be on the darkside!! Todd |
