Aloha from the middle of the big pond :)

Been lurking around here soaking up info for some time now and figured I'd drop in and say "Aloha" from Maui. Was going to do my first rebreather dive tomorrow, but looks like it got postponed (boat maintenance) till next week (Inspiration training)... definitely looking forward to what the silent world "sounds" like (can't wait to listen to the whales singing before they leave for this season)

lol - probably an understatement ... but I'm still putting together questions. When I know which ones I want to ask they will start flyin'

Over the last month I've been studying the "dark side" - finished "Mastering Rebreathers" (What a GREAT read that was, good writing style with lots of basic information) along with several other books and lots of threads here. Finally decided I wanted to take the plunge, had an offer to get Inspo trained and figured "why not" I'll decide later what type unit best fits my diving style and the guys I dive with. But I definitely see silent diving in my future.

Aloha, Tim. I am sure you will have fun during your training. Taking the class with Brad @ B&B Scuba? With a CCR, shore diving in Hawaii can take on a whole new meaning. Those old two-tank shore dives may even start to get irritating
